THE FROZEN TIDAL WAVE
Or 'Ivu', as the Alaskan locals call them. Ivus are frozen slabs of sea ice, pushed dramatically ashore by strong winds from Russia and eastward currents. Ivus this big haven't been seen in Anchorage, Alaska, since 1978.
